Cochasqui Pyramids The Community of Cochasquí at 3100 m. is an archaeological site with pyramid-shaped burial buildings and mounds that belong to the first inhabitants of Quito. The pyramids were built with a volcanic material called Cangahua found in the area. The path that leads to this place is the one that joins Guayllabamba to Tabacundo - Cayambe. It is located on uneven ground. Because it is on a mountain slope which allows a wide visibility of hills, snowcapped mountains and valleys of Ecuador high lands are seen. At 15km, at the top, the Mojanda lagoons are found.
